About Me

Hello Everyone!

I am Sushil Adhikari, a visually-impaired youth/disability-rights activist, computer instructor, sound editor, blogger, positive thinker, writer, disability-rights activist and social worker with unlimited passion to make a difference in the world!

At age 11, I became blind. Despite losing my sight, I, prepared to act for the fact and to fight for rights with great ambition of being an active agent of change for my nation and generation. Being committed to bringing a ripple of impactful changes in Nepalese societies, currently, I am working to raise awareness about disabilities and minority rights by organizing a series of campaigns and using radio and online media. My past struggle with social stigma and discrimination based on disability motivated and enabled me to fight for equality, just, and barrier-free social participation and human rights.

Although I lost my sight, I never lost my vision, my mission and my determination to create a better world for everyone. Also, I am very much passionate about Information technology and innovation, and widely believe that technologies can make a difference for the persons with disabilities.

Apart from my regular works/professions, together with my brother, who is also blind, I have founded a self-help youth venture (NGO), called, Bright Star Society: A transformative step for Inclusive Society, which primarily aims at bridging the gap between people those who are living with and without disabilities in the main-streamed developmental process. We have been running this venture out of our own savings/earnings to institutionalize our passion for social works.(More description of it has been provided below). I am quite passionate about youth development and empowerment and transformation of marginalized youth through entrepreneurship development in Nepalese societies.

Shortly speaking, working very hard with high spirit to endorse better accessibility to the persons with disabilities in Nepal, I am just a simple person who believes in the power of people to make change.

I am immensely interested in raising voice, creating awareness, making new friends, sharing insightful things, informing people, motivating youth, and helping people out from my place.
